At the conclusion of the Under graduate programme, the student will be able to accomplish the:-
  • PO 1 - Disciplinary Knowledge &Critical Thinking: Articulate knowledge of one or more disciplines that form a part of UG programmes. Critically think, analyses, apply and evaluate various information and follow scientific approach to the development of knowledge.
  • PO 2 - Communication Skill: Communicate thoughts and ideas clearly in writing and orally. Develop careful listening, logical thinking and proficiency in interpersonal communication.

Upon completion of the BA English Triple Main programme, the graduate will be able to:-

  • PSO 1 - Recognize as well as identify the relevance of an event by which they can decide on what can be a news and describe it factually.
  • PSO 2 - Subsume the rules governing media writing and familiarize them with the intricacies of editing which in turn helps them to describe, categorize and state the occurrences clearly.

    OJT IN MEDIA: AUDIO, VISUAL AND PRINT

    CO1 - The project will be based on areas dealing with Journalism and mass communication. The students are required to join a media house related to print, visual, radio or cyber journalism for a period of 25 days. At the media house, the students are expected to take the role of a reporter or editor through which they will get an opportunity to work on the theoretical aspects of journalism. After the training, they are expected to submit a detailed report on the job scenario. The student, in consultation with the supervising teacher, has to prepare the project report. The expected pages for a UG project will be 30 to 35. It should contain three chapters of almost equal length (8 to 10 pages), and in addition, there can be two short sections (2 to 3 pages), as Introduction and Conclusion. A list of Works Cited should be at the end of the dissertation.
